A sporting goods industry veteran, Jay Piccola joined Puma in 1997 as Executive Vice President of North American business to lead the company's sales and marketing initiatives.
In his current role as General Manager of Puma North America, Mr. Piccola oversees all aspects of Puma's national presence. He has managed the growth and recent resurgence of Puma in the marketplace as well as communication initiatives for the brand.
Prior to joining Puma, Mr. Piccola was Executive Vice President of Sales at Pro Player, a sportswear company that specializes in officially-licensed sports apparel. At Pro Player, he repositioned the company's brands, driving a 60 percent sales increase within a two-year period. Mr. Piccola gained his sports apparel experience in senior level positions with Converse, Diadora and Nike. A former three-time college All-American basketball player and professional basketball player, today he is a volunteer youth basketball coach and enthusiastic sideline dad for his children's sport endeavors. He graduated with a B.A. from Roanoke College.
