Andy Vogel is responsible for premium brand sales for the U.S. to drive high value advertising for Smaato’s publishers. He and his team work directly with brands, agencies, and DSP’s to deliver Smaato’s high quality, in app and mobile web inventory. With over 20 years in digital and mobile advertising, he was most recently the SVP for Digital & Mobile at Tribune Company, where he ran all digital, mobile, branded and converged media executions across the Tribune portfolio, including major newspapers such as Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and 42 broadcast television stations like WGN America.
Vogel created the first group online sales department for Gannett Company. He ran digital strategy and sales for Journal Communications and the paid subscription website Packer Insider. He was general manager of hyper-local media pioneer Backfence.com, and part of the start-up team at cars.com. He has served on the boards of the IAB, MMA, and Google’s Publisher Advisory Group.
