Cook was born June 4, 1958. A US national, appointed an Executive Director of Royal Dutch Shell in October 2004. She was appointed a Managing Director of Royal Dutch in August 2004 and was a Board member of Royal Dutch until the merger of the company on December 21, 2005.
She was President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Shell Canada Limited from August 2003 to July 2004. Joined Shell Oil Company in Houston in 1980, and worked for Shell Oil Company in Houston and California in a variety of technical and managerial positions. She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a Non-executive director of The Boeing Company.
Mohamed Meziane is the CEO of Sonatrach Petroleum Company in Algeria.
