Riane Eisler is an eminent social scientist, attorney, and futurist, perhaps best known as author of the international bestseller, "The Chalice and The Blade," which has been translated into 21 languages. She is President of the Center for Partnership Studies, a recipient of the Humanist Pioneer Award, and a member of the World Commission on Global Consciousness and Spirituality.
In her book, "The Real Wealth of Nations: Creating a Caring Economics," Eisler argues that many great problems of our time, including poverty, inequality, war, terrorism, and environmental degradation, are due to flawed economic systems that set wrong priorities and misallocated resources. Riane Eisler is an Austrian born American scholar, writer, and social activist. Born in Vienna, her family fled from the Nazis to Cuba when she was a child; she later emigrated to the United States. She has degrees in sociology and law from the University of California. She is the author of many books and articles, and president of the Center for Partnership Studies.
