The Ceasefire on Healthcare campaign was started by former Senator John Breaux and is sponsored by American University's Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, directed by Dr. James Thurber. The campaign supports bipartisan efforts to address needed healthcare reform on a variety of issues, including the number of uninsured Americans, curbing the rising costs of health care, and eliminating health disparities in minority and under served populations.
Ceasefire events bring together a variety of speakers with opposing viewpoints in an effort to find common ground.
